Week 5 starts next week and Nick & Mike will begin conducting execution shops. Restaurants that have less than 10 responses will be targeted first and then other lower performers. Reminder, if we execute at a high level and ask every customer from 7-9 it increases our chances of improving with more detailed tactics. How is Iron Arch doing so far? Week 1 = 74.5% (0.76 surveys per restaurant per day) Week 2 = 77.1% (0.87 surveys per rest/day) Let's continue to stay laser focused on our WIG. 85% VOICE 7-9 with getting 3 surveys per day. Execution = Results. Water Heater Survey Don’t forget to complete this quick survey about your water heater by April 18th. Henny Penny Fryers For those of you with Henny Penny fryers, your McCrispy settings may be incorrect. To ensure that food safety is 100%, please see the attached directions to check and change the McCrispy settings if needed. Please ask your Operations Supervisor if you have questions. AMEX Expectations Please see the attached document that contains the expectations for AMEX cardholders. All receipts must have the restaurant number that the purchase was for. Please ensure that the photo you submit is clear. Beginning now, please keep your paper receipts or photos for 60 days to ensure that we are ready if a receipt does not show up after the upload. Remember, all AMEX receipts are due by the 15th of the month. Mac Sauce Cup Event Our digital guests will have the opportunity to add Big Mac sauce in cups to their orders. Beginning on April 27th, digital guests can add up to 5 sauce cups to their orders. These cases will be arriving the week of April 17th, DO NOT OPEN until April 25th. Again, we DO NOT SELL until April 27th. Please see the NABIT website or your April NABIT training kit for additional information. BINGO!! Bingo has begun, have you checked off a square? Get the word out to your teams, build excitement, and get a BINGO!! Tempering Cheese By now, your restaurant should be utilizing the small pans for tempering cheese. Each pan holds 4 stacks of 20 cheese slices so 1 sleeve fits in 2 small pans. The yellow and green tempering stickers should also be in use. If you need help with placing these, please ask your Operations Supervisor. Additional information is available on the NABIT website or in your April NABIT training kit. General Manager Community Event Interest As our footprint has expanded and our communities become more involved, we need help for our events. Please complete the General Manager Community Interest survey by April 25th. Our goal in this survey is to get honest feedback on your thoughts and interest in participating/hosting community events in and outside of the restaurant. Several of you have expressed interest in participating more; we want to make that happen! Food Safety Webcast Did you have a chance to attend the Food Safety webcast last week? Please ensure that all POP is removed, extra bags of ranch are counted and wasted, and the flavors to love boxes are put away until they are used for the new sandwich in June. Airgas Cylinders Does your restaurant have more than two back up cylinders? Each restaurant should have two full back up cylinders. The next time your restaurant needs a full cylinder, call 800-772-8144 and tell them how many empty cylinders need to be picked up and how many full cylinders need to be delivered. They will only pick up when making a delivery for a full cylinder. The cylinders must be visible and all in one spot where they typically would drop off. Iron Arch In-Person Leadership Transitions We are excited to announce the next in-person LT class will be July 19th 9a-6p and July 20th 9a-5p. Learners must have the Shift Leadership Curriculum completed to 93% to attend. Email amyo@iammcd.com to register a learner. Running Great Restaurants As we continue McDonald’s and self-graded RGR visits, please utilize the attached RGR form to achieve, and then maintain, RGR standards. The form covers food safety, cleanliness, service, quality & shift leadership. June Sanitation Exams The exams in June will be on June 19th from 8a-2p in Madison and June 20th from 130p-4p in Rockford. If you want a learner for the exam, they must be signed up by June 6th. Learners will need to have completed 100% of the training and taken the online practice exam by June 16th to take the exam. All learners who do not complete the training prior to the exam will not be able to attend, must sign up again, and documentation will be given. NABIT Kits New NABIT kits will arrive in your restaurants on or around June 2nd. Please be aware that smallares and training materials for the Cheesy Jalapeno Bacon QPC will be induced. DO NOT misplace this box. NABIT Webcast – Save the Date The next NABIT webcast will be on June 7th. For those of you who do not know, the movie Groundhog Day was filmed in Woodstock, not too far from our restaurant. Digital Experience As an organization, we have completed 1,081 digital verifications. As an organization, our January Digital OSAT is currently at 65.3%. This is 0.8% better than January 2022. Remember, our 2023 goal is 84.3% goal. Our current Digital Executed As Designed score is 41.7%. This is 14% higher than last year’s EAD score. Take the time to ensure that your shake machine is up and running. Remember, that we haven’t used the fourth flavor since last year so the peristaltic pump may have flattened and need to be replaced. The Shamrock Shake and Shamrock McFlurry will be activated on the POS on February 7th. Please place the keys in product outage immediately to avoid guest dissatisfaction. Once the syrups have been received, please start the Shamrock Event ASAP. Once this has started, please put a message on your static reader board. Digital reader boards will be updated on the 10th. Save the Date – All GM/Staff Meeting Our general manager/staff meeting will be held on March 1st from 9a-4p at the Beloit Sports Center. The Beloit Sport Center is located at 557 E Grand Ave, Beloit, WI 53511. You do not have to wear a McDonald’s work uniform if you do not want to, business casual is fine. Lunch will be served around 12. There will be some snacks and refreshments but feel free to bring some of your own. If there are any topics you want discussed, please let your leadership team know no later than February 14th. We look forward to seeing everyone soon! Best Burger Readiness While continuing to work on correct dehydrated onion procedures, using smaller prep pans and tempering cheese, it is time to move onto the next phase of Best Burger deployment. This next phase is all about getting the grill settings changed and moving to the new max run of 6 for regular patties. Please complete this Best Burger #2 Survey by February 14th. All Iron Arch restaurants will be on a max run size of 6 NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 14th. Deployment schedules for each patch will be determined and start in mid-March. Sink Sticker Survey Please complete this one question survey if your 3-compartment sink has the correct signage. Please complete this survey by February 7th. People Brand Visits Just a reminder that all signs relating to our recent People Brand Visits are to remain in place until otherwise notified. Please make sure your restaurant team understand that the following signs should not be removed without Supervisor permission: HR Stop Sign (English and Spanish) with QR Codes linking to updated Survey Summary, Current Employee Handbook and Zero Discrimination Policy. All training materials were sent in the Nabit box. This includes the red FIFO bottles for the ranch. The sandwich will be into the new Flavors of Love pouch or box. These paper goods will be used for all limited time offer sandwiches going forward so please keep remaining stock when the promotion is over. Need more information? This link will take you to the Nabit page. The manager at a glance is attached. Breakfast OEPE This past week we finished with our Breakfast OEPE for the peak at 107 seconds. Phenomenal job as an organization finishing 35 seconds faster than last year. The following locations did not finish under 120 and have some work to do to catch up: 2504, 4231, 13650 19354, 22424, 23691, 34623 and 38131. With that being said, we also lowered our total Breakfast OEPE for the month to 130! This is 25 seconds faster than where we were at in the middle of February. We are so proud of the tremendous focus we have placed on meeting and ultimately crushing our goals together. As we make Breakfast OEPE a fabric of who we are it will become easier and easier to consistently hit these numbers. Labor is not an excuse to not hit numbers and in fact the faster we are the better our labor is. See this example: Labor for Breakfast 7-9 last week was a 23.07% while hitting 107 OEPE Labor for Breakfast 7-9 two weeks ago was a 23.66% while hitting 151 OEPE eProdction Have you run out of slots on the UHC screen. Please see the attached instructions to add more slots to the monitor. Voice Our VOICE results have been dipping the last couple of months. This is a trend that we must reverse quickly. As we improved our overall operations, we have seen a decline in our customer facing metrics. Let's put the energy and focus back into our guests. What are they telling us and how can we be better? Accuracy and Cleanliness are the organizations two biggest customer facing opportunities. Let's continue to look to put the right food in the bag with better managed shifts. We would recommend using some FRED training such as order accuracy videos to subsidize your teams training. Fish Fridays Lent is upon us. While we do not have any fish specials, we need to ensure that we are ready for a higher product movement for fish, especially on Fridays. Here are some things to check for the Lenten season. Vats are programmed, enough UHC Slots, baskets in good shape, have enough trays and wire racks, Double Filet-o-Fish on all kiosks, and eProduction settings correct? National Equipment Standards Survey McDonald’s is changing their restaurant and equipment standards in 2024 for CO2 Detector systems and adding the need for automatic/no touch paper towel dispensers and faucets. Please complete the CO2 & Sink Survey by March 14th.
