- Free and Discounted Meals!
< Back Free and Discounted Meals! One of the best things about working at McDonald’s is the food. When you work a scheduled shift, you are eligible to receive one meal for yourself at the employee half-price discount! This must be eaten in the break room before or after your scheduled shift or during your break. Off-duty employees may purchase food at their restaurant at a 30% discount any time they are not working. Food must be rung on the customer side. Drinks, Shakes and O.J. are considered food items. As soon as you are directed to go on break, you must immediately punch out and then stand on the customer side for your food. All employees can participate in the National Employee discount program. McDonald’s employees can purchase food at participating McDonald’s restaurants nation-wide at a 30% discount. Employees must download the McDonald’s app and sign in using the same email you use for McDonald’s employment. The National Employee 30% Discount coupon will appear in the McDonald’s app under “deals”. Non-Product Items are not included (i.e., plates, happy meal toys) in the 30% or 50% discount. Please allow customers to be served first while you are off the clock Your restaurant can be eligible for free food every month! LIKE RIGHT NOW! Like personal grocery shopping, we have a budget If we are under that budget (3.5%* “Food over base”) *percentage subject to change You can get a free meal for your scheduled shift from the 3rd of the month through the 2nd the following month. The guidelines are as follows: All employees from crew to managers get one free meal per shift up to $12.00 in value. This meal can be taken home or eaten at the Restaurant. If working more than 8 hours, employee can take two free meals during their shift. All free meals must be rung up through the register and are not to be made by the employee receiving the free meal. < Back The Loop 3.21.23 Sales Record Congratulations to Pedro and the Odana team for once again hitting a new sales record. On the 17th they did $24,381.25 in sales! Guest Shout Out Here is a guest shout out to Heather and her University team. Great Job! “I wanted to pass along my appreciation for your amazing staff at the University Avenue /Madison address. I stopped there on Saturday night after spending my third full day at a nearby hospital following my husband’s surgery for a broken back. I pulled into your drive through and ordered! Drove to the window and could NOT locate my wallet anywhere in my purse/front seat!! I was in a panic and really needed that amazing Diet Coke! When she opened the window I asked that she cancel the order and explained my situation!! Without skipping a beat she responded with a “Nope..it is all prepared and we want you to enjoy it”!! After the last long days that was just the boost I needed!! When I got home I located the wallet!! Thankfully!! The next day I drove through again and was happy to see her again!! I offered to pay her again..and she said it is totally fine and they were happy to help My day!! If Kiara (not sure of spelling) is any indication how you train all your people. BRAVO!!! She needs some recognition for her kindness and it is something that I will always take with me!! THANK YOU!!!” Digital Experience – Best Bet Please utilize the training videos to help your teams with ROA issues. All videos are on @mcd on the Ready on Arrival NABIT page. What can you do to shave off a few seconds or increase your score by a percent? Are any of your fellow patch GMs on top and you can reach out? WOW, in 3 days, we sold 15,000 PIES as an organization!! Breakfast Voice We are off to an extremely solid start with our new goal. We received 16 responses yesterday and are at 100%!! We started just a few days ago with 1 or 2 responses as an entire team. We are making progress. For some it may feel slow going but we are making progress. We are down to 10 restaurants that do not have responses. What will help us get there? There are a few tactics that we have asked of the team. Hang up the flyer, drive the VOICE incentive. I am strongly encouraging all of us to look at our hospitality cues and if our team at the points of contact are delivering on those. Points of contact would be at the order point, cashier booth and present booth. Identity those handful of people who typically work 7-9 Sunday through Saturday and let's have the right conversations. With that being said, we must also get the receipts into the hands of our guests. They are to be given out every time. We are fast sitting at 100 seconds Peak Breakfast OEPE for the month as an organization. Only 32257 and 5612 were above 120 this past week with both ending in the 120s. Now we must add the cherry on top with hospitality. Let's continue to put the effort in everyday until we build the next foundation of success with VOICE. The train is starting to leave the station. Make sure to get yourself and the team on board before it does. Let's do this together! We currently have 35667 leading the way with 20 responses at 95%. Nicely done! New Things on The Way The new Iron Arch training center is under way. Very exciting and stay tuned for updates. Listening Survey Keep working on the surveys. Feedback from the team is very important and the more responses we receive the better. Please utilize the QR Code below or on the flyers in your restaurants. PACE The Ops PACE team has compiled the following top areas of focus based on year-to-date 2023 brand protection visits and Operations Excellence Assessments: Food Safety (EcoSure and Health Department Inspections): · Restaurant cleanliness (floors, equipment, and walls), good hygiene practices (disposable gloves and other personal hygiene procedures), and food packaging procedures Health & Safety: · Exterior walking surfaces in good repair and electrical outlets, connectors, and cords in good repair Operations Excellence Assessment: · Speed of service across the drive-thru (OEPE), curbside and in-restaurant (R2P + fulfillment) omni channels · Elevating the digital customer experience (executing as designed) through a focus on a digital crew prompt (e.g., “Hi! < Back The Loop 3.13.23 Breakfast OEPE Update Another week of amazing results when it comes to our Breakfast OEPE. As we put our entire organization efforts around one goal we have achieved and are achieving some amazing things. Our average for this past week was 103 seconds and an improvement of 44 seconds vs last year. Month to date we are at 104 seconds! This has helped us improve so many other things along the way and we wanted to make sure you were aware. This past week's results areas of improvement include-Total peak results: OEPE decreasing by 18 seconds, R2P decreasing by 14 seconds, KVS decreasing by 6 seconds. All of which help our Big 6 results. Also, labor continues to improve in the morning even as we add people on. We will continue to focus on Breakfast OEPE as we make it like tying our shoes where we just know how. Please share with me, if possible, things that have helped you and your teams achieve this lofty goal. Is it a scoreboard that you are updating daily? Is it a messaging system between you and your management team? Is it new routines for your morning staff? There are plenty of things we have done and I would love to hear from you. This past week we had several restaurants that were not yet to our goal to include: 22424, 32257, 17850, 2504, 4231 and 3488. Please consider what we need to focus on this week to help our team all succeed together. Soon we will be switching our Wildly Important Goal to VOICE. This will have a big impact on our organization by keying in on several things and we are excited to move the needle in the same fashion we did with Breakfast OEPE. Be on the lookout for next steps there and what the expectations will be starting April 1st. In the meantime, let's button up those few remaining road bumps for Breakfast OEPE so we all can rise together. Hamburger University Graduation Congratulations to Dori & Heather on their recent graduation from Hamburger University! OTP 3 Graduation Congratulations to Jared on completing OTP3 training in Oakbrook and passing the test with flying colors. He is now one of only 4 people in the organization to hold that certification. Community This year's theme was Fire and Ice! Michael, Keresa, Danelle, and Rich had a blast serving up Shamrock Shake Shots and Chicken Nuggets with Mcdonald's Hot Mustard to accompany the theme. We had over 400 hundred people come by our booth and reconnected with several local businesses. Thank you for everyone's help in making another community event successful. Guest Shout Outs Here is a guest shout out for Jesus at Monroe. Jesus at Monroe WI Mc Donald's has a wonderful customer service attitude. He is always bubbly, smiling, says good morning , thanks us and bids us a good day. He is one of very few that work the 1st window in the drive through that don’t give you the impression like you are bothering them. I only know if you are having a bad day and you go through Mc D's drive through when Jesus is at the 1st window, his upbeat and jolly disposition just brightens the day, and you are unable to even recall why your day was bad when pulling in!! I did not get the Mgr. name that was at the pickup window, but she greets us the same as Jesus. Here is a guest shout out for some employees at Verona Rd. I visit the McDonalds on Verona Road every morning on my way to work. The employees are so friendly and brighten my morning - Jayme, Leslie, Erika, Paula - they each make me feel so welcome and start my day off on the right foot. It is the intent to draw awareness as we look to improve in these areas. If we do not know where we stand, how do we know what we need to do? Someone will always be last. Our mission is to make sure that whoever is in last has the tools, resources, and motivation to drive results forward. We appreciate all you and your teams efforts on all fronts, it doesn't go unnoticed! Who’s On Bottom – Month To Date Listening Survey This year’s listening survey starts tomorrow (15th). Please ensure that the posters are up for easy access to the survey. Utilize the employee roster that was printed for you restaurant to track completion, don’t forget to add new hires, and don’t forget to complete it yourself. This survey is a great way for our team (managers and crew) to let their voices be heard. Please ask the office or your operations supervisor if you have questions. EPB2B Experienced A Problem Bottom Two Boxes Trying to understand how EPB2B is measured? Please see the attached guide that is being used to help explain it a bit better. This may lead to a few more questions but work with your supervisor to help work through this. VOICE and EPB2B are a great way to measure our success through our guests’ eyes. Let's make sure we know what the numbers are telling us so we may continue to improve not just our operational results but what the guests’ expectations are. image.png Sanitation Class Please complete the Food Safety Class Exam Registration form if you have someone to attend the March 21st Sanitation Exam in Madison. There will be no Rockford class in March. The next English class in Madison will not be until May, so do not wait too long. Great news, there will be a Spanish only sanitation exam on Tuesday April 11th in Madison (Rockford will have an English exam on April 11th). March 21st – Madison – English April 11th – Rockford – English/Madison – Spanish May 16th – Rockford & Madison – English GM Meeting Feedback How was that GM meeting? Guest speakers, results, prizes, and so much more. We are always looking for feedback to make these events even better. Please complete the Speaker/Meeting Survey and let us know what you thought and how these events can be better. 10:1 Patty Placement & Pulling Just a reminder that the procedure changed for pulling 10:1 patties off the grill. They are now pulled off and stacked in two groups of 3. This new procedure should already be started, if not, please start ASAP. Loomis Safe Access Please ensure your location does not have any obstructions in front of the safe. This will give Loomis easy access to the smart safe. If you have a manual drop in the safe you will need a hand written deposit slip made out to ensure the money gets credited to your location. The driver will not automatically pick up any manual drops you will have to make sure when he opens the safe to give those manual deposits with the deposit slip to the driver. Auto Greeter Please look at the attached new guide McDonald’s would like us to implement for our auto greeters. Please complete the steps by March 21st to ensure we are meeting the requirements.
